Bible Truth Church of God, was formed and organized in 1917 by The Reverend Bishop Leon A. Bynoe of New York City. In those early years it was then known as the Bible Truth Church. He established churches in four countries and travel for many year to each of them. However, due to his failing health later on in his life, he thought it wise to ordain the Rev. Dr. Thomas Sutton in April of 1973 as his successor. Ten years later in April 1983, Bishop Bynoe was laid to rest. His ministry remained solvent until 2005. There are still affiliations of his legacy located in London England,  Jamaica, West Indies, and Barbados.
